I'm a big fan of "The Perfect Recipe" by Brandy Cohen. At first, I wasn't sure about the writing style focused around social media, texts, and email. But, I realized quickly that this is how we communicate anymore. I could easily relate to the heroine Franki, and found myself comparing so many aspects of her story to my life. I suppose that is the mark of a great author - they allow all readers to relate to their characters in some way. The only thing that keeps me from giving all 5 stars is the lack of real struggle after the initial heartbreak that opened the story. I think Bill was written out of the picture too easily. I was waiting for him to show up and cause some love triangle drama after Franki and Ben hooked up. He's the jealous type, right? Instead, he hooked up with some nurse and broke it off with Franki first! That was too easy. Aside from this minor disappointment, I really loved this little story and read it in a day. I'm excited to read the next book by Brandy Cohen!Product details

This is a very fun book that is sure to keep you entertained. Brandy Cohen is really on to something with this new type of format. I really enjoyed it.
I just finished reading this gem of a book. Relationships written with humor, wit and an understanding of people make this book a treasure to read.The unique style in which this book is written moves the plot line along nicely. The characters in the book become so real, they seem like true-life people! If you read just one book in your life--this is the book you must read!
This was a really insipid predictable story. The writing is down right elementary. I didn't like this book at all.
This was a good book-it was an easy read for the summer just like I was looking for. It had a cute story to it and was entertaining.
